Purpose and Private Status

This is a private reference site with no official role. It does not store government records, make custody decisions, confirm that a person has been released, release anyone from custody, submit a public-record request for a visitor, or file documents with a sheriff, jail, court, or corrections agency.

Official records remain with the offices that created them.
